What benefits does this give me as a customer?

Put simply, this saves technicians time in the field by removing manual searching of serial numbers and ensuring that when a technician is inspecting an asset, they’re able to guarantee that they have identified the correct asset.

Your technicians no longer have to rely on free-text descriptions of asset locations in order to identify assets.

Key Features:

  • The scanner supports both QR codes and barcodes to track serial numbers
  • While we recommend using GUIDs for your serial numbers due to the almost certainty of unique values, you can use any valid QR code or barcodes for your serial numbers as long as they’re unique for each asset. If you would like to generate a list of GUIDs to print on stickers or labels, this website provides a free tool.
  • If you scan a QR code that does not currently exist for a given site, the system will prompt the user to add a new asset, while inheriting the previously scanned QR code or barcode. Based on the selected asset type, the user will then be able to populate any custom attributes that are relevant to that asset type.
  • If you scan a QR code and a match for an asset is found on the job, the app will proceed to the inspection checklist (or simple pass/fail prompt if no checklist has been defined for that job) or if there is a match for the asset on the related site, the app will allow the user to add the asset to the current job and proceed with inspection. This second scenario is ideal of an asset is missed from a job or if an issue is identified while onsite.

The above features work seamlessly with the existing asset compliance checklists as well as our simple (pass/fail) asset inspections.
