Creating New Customer/Site Assets from Mobile
This article outlines the step-by-step process for adding customer assets using the mobile application, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow for your team.
✅ Step 1: Access the Job
- Open the mobile app.
- Navigate to the relevant job where you need to add assets.
- Tap on the Assets section to view the current asset list.
➕ Step 2: Create a New Asset
If there are no assets available for inspection:
- Tap Create Asset.
- Fill in the required fields:
- Type of asset
- Variant
- Serial number (can be scanned using your device’s camera 📷)
- Tap Save to proceed with the inspection.
🔗 Step 3: Link an Asset
If you have barcodes or QR codes on hand:
- Tap Link Asset.
- Select Create Asset from the available options.
📷 Step 4: Scan a QR Code
- Use your device to scan the asset’s QR code.
- The app will check for an existing serial number:
- If the serial number is found, proceed with that asset.
- If not found, you'll be prompted to create a new one.
📝 Step 5: Complete Asset Details
Once scanned:
- The serial number will be pre-filled automatically.
- Fill in any additional fields, such as:
- Custom attributes
- Notes (voice-to-text supported 🎤)
- Tap Save to complete the asset entry.
🔍 Step 6: Proceed with Inspection
- After saving the asset, continue with your regular inspection process as usual.
