Creating your Asset Types

🏗️ Setting Up Asset Types for Asset Management

🎯 Objective

This guide explains how to create a new asset type for effective asset management — including generating variants, faults, and inspection checklists — using automation and AI tools within the system.


🆕 Step 1: Add a New Asset Type

  • Navigate to the Asset Management section
  • Click “Add New Asset Type”
  • Enter the asset name (e.g., Sprinkler Systems)

📘 Step 2: Input Relevant Standards

  • Identify the appropriate standard for your region (e.g., AS 1851)
  • Enter the standard into the system

🤖 Step 3: Generate Variants Using AI

  • Go to the Variants section
  • Select “Generate Variants using AI”
  • Specify the applicable standard (e.g., AS 1851)
  • Optionally include specific brands or configurations
  • Click “Generate” and wait for completion

⚠️ Step 4: Generate Possible Faults

  • Open the Faults section
  • Use AI to generate fault types based on the selected standard
  • Categorize faults into:
    • Critical
    • High
    • Medium
    • Low

✅ Step 5: Create Inspection Checklist

  • Go to the Inspection Checklist section
  • Click “Generate Using AI”
  • Specify the required frequencies:
    • Monthly
    • Quarterly
    • Six-Monthly
    • Annually
    • Five-Yearly
  • Click “Generate” to create the checklist

🗓️ Step 6: Schedule Inspections

  • Create a recurring job for the asset type
  • Select the client site where it applies
  • Assign the appropriate inspection frequencies based on the checklist
