Setting Up a Custom Email Domain

Want to send emails from a branded address like [email protected] instead of a generic domain? Here's how to set up a custom email domain in Fieldmagic to boost your deliverability and professionalism:

🛠️ 1. Access Email Domain Settings

Head to your Settings in Fieldmagic and click Email Domains to get started.

🌐 2. Create a Subdomain

Add a new subdomain (e.g., fm.yourdomain.com). Fieldmagic will generate the necessary DNS records for you automatically.

📩 3. Forward DNS Instructions

Email the generated DNS records to your IT team or domain administrator so they can update your DNS settings.

✅ 4. Verify the Domain

Once the DNS records are live, return to Fieldmagic and click Verify to confirm your domain is active and ready.

🧾 5. Update SPF Records

Access your domain’s SPF record and add the new subdomain to authorize emails being sent from it. This helps ensure your emails land in inboxes—not spam folders.

🧹 6. Clean Up DNS Settings

Double-check that only the required records remain and remove anything unnecessary. Add the subdomain as a trusted sender.

🔍 7. Confirm SPF Update

Use an SPF checker tool to verify everything’s working. You’re good to go when you see your new subdomain listed in the results!
