Creating a Recurring Job in Loom

  1. Creating Customer, Site, and Contact:

    • Create an organization for the customer.
    • Link the site, location, and contact.
  2. Setting Up a Recurring Job:

    • Select the contact and site.
    • Choose the frequency (e.g., monthly).
    • Set the due date for job generation.
    • Define the next job date and time.
  3. Adding Work Order Details:

    • Specify if it's a fixed price job.
    • Add tasks and materials for the job (e.g., fire extinguisher inspection).
  4. Creating an Asset Checklist:

    • Develop an asset checklist (e.g., fire extinguisher monthly inspection).
  5. Associating the Checklist:

    • Link the checklist to the recurring job.
    • Ensure the association is correct.
  6. Automating Job Creation:

    • Choose to create the job automatically on the due date.
    • Decide if the job is billable or part of a contract.
    • Set up automatic job generation and scheduling.
  7. Generating Scheduled Jobs:

    • Use the "Generate Schedule Jobs" function to create jobs.
    • Select items to be generated and initiate job creation.
  8. Scheduling the Job:

    • Set a schedule for the generated job (e.g., later tonight).
    • Receive notifications for scheduled tasks.
  9. Finalizing the Recurring Job:

    • Ensure the job is linked to the original recurring job record.
    • Schedule the task for completion.
